OPERA IX: New Studio Footage Posted Online
November 11, 2011A new three-minute video clip featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the recording sessions for "Strix Maledictae In Aeternum", the new album from Italy's OPERA IX, can be seen below. Tentatively due in early 2012 via Agonia Records, the CD is described in a press release as "a great opera dedicated to the dark ages of medieval witchcraft." It is being recorded at the Occultum studios, owned by the OPERA IX guitarist Ossian, and will be mastered at the Necromorbus Studio in Alvik, Sweden.. The artwork is being created by Kris Verwimp.
"Strix Maledictae In Aeternum" will be released as a digipack CD and on limited vinyl. A promotional video clip for the song "Mandragora" was recently completed and will make its online debut soon.
OPERA IX was previously signed to Displeased Records.
